Customer Review: Great Phone!
I’ve had this phone for several years now and i must say its a really great phone! The best feature for me is the talking caller id from the handset and the base! I can listen to who’s calling without having to get up and check the box or my phone. What impressed me the most about this phone is I had it outside, forgot it was sitting on the trunk of the car and when the car moved of course it fell to the ground. Well i was really impressed to find out that not only did the back where the battery is stored came off which of course made the battery come out, once i put it back together it still worked!! Now i can no longer ’see’ whose calling, it looks like i have a huge ink spot in the screen, but the talking id still works as well as the ringer!! It took a licking but its still ticking!! The only phone i’ll ever use!

This is the second peripheral handset I have purchased. All work extremely well with the base station with very little static and have a clear signal.

Customer Review: A good phone system
I am very happy with my phones,however,I need greater volume on the ringer. I tried an amlified ringer to place between the jack and the base w/the answering machine and it blocked the caller ID, answering machine and the ringer. Do you have an amplifier that would work with my phones?

I had a Panasonic 1ghz phone set (2 phones) for over 10 years and it survived three moves and two kids and still works! I mean my kids broke the antenna stems and covers off, chucked and kicked these phones all over the house and never any static, drop-calls, not even a battery change needed! I am just upgrading to accommodate a bigger house. These phones are so much better and so much nicer now. I expect to have them for a while. The talking caller id gets annoying really quick though, LOL!!!

This was purchased as a replacement for an aging Sony 900Mhz phone we had downstairs. While I have not even come close to using all of this units capabilities; it works well, sounds good, and seems to have good battery life. Having a second handset is a nice feature as we keep it upstairs. My 5 year old son likes the talking caller id feature as he knows he is only allowed to answer the phone when mom or dad calls and runs to the phone to answer as the phone “announces” this (smile).

great phone (though over-priced) like being able to create your own wallpaper And ring-tones (the ring I have is not available through the normal chanels) wife loves the phone (installed picture of our grand-son and that sold the phone+ one of a kind ring-tone)am ordering another one

This phone came with an easy to use computer disk and cable. I hooked up to my computer, entered all the contact information with speed and easy. I down loaded pictures to set with each phone number of family members. I created and downloaded ringtones to add to this phone, it is great! I purchased it for my elderly parents who could not see very well and had trouble hearing a regular phone. The bright color screen with large display and numbers made it very easy for them to see. The buttons light up making it easy for them to place calls in a low light situation. The Talking caller ID is not the clearest, but helped them hear that the phone is ringing. This is a high tech phone that, when programed via computer with all the personal informaiton, is really easy to operate for the low tech like my parents. The clarity of the calls were great! I could hear my parents better and they could hear me better. No more yelling back and forth…”Can you hear me now?” I was also able to set their favorite picture as wallpaper on the main screen. Battery is also easy to install and replacements are inexpensive. The cons to this phone is that you can only download ringtones in .wav format. This sent me searching for online conversions rather than using my mp3 files that I already have on my computer.

Customer Review: Talking caller ID not very useful
I bought this phone today specifically for the talking caller ID. This is a relatively old feature, although perhaps not for the DECT 6.0 technology. My Panasonic answering machine that is 12 years old has this and it works very well. It also announces the caller phone number within the first ring or two. The new one takes longer. Worse, the new machine only announces “call from cellular phone” rather than announcing the cell phone number when you get a call from a cell phone. My old phone announces the phone number for ALL phones unless they’re unlisted. Since probably half the phone calls I get are from cell phones, in my mind this makes the talking ID feature pretty useless. Hopefully there’s a fix for this or the new phone is going back where I bought it. Anyone else notice this problem?

What a great phone. I was surprised on how clear this phone is and it even talks. If the number is stored, it will announce the name you created with that number. If not, it will announce the number calling. No more running to see the caller ID message.
