The BlackBerry 8700cTM operates on the latest high speed wireless networks and provides leading BlackBerry functionality, including email, phone, web browsing, text messaging (SMS and MMS) and organizer applications. Customer Review: BlackBerry 8700 This was the second blackberry that I’ve ever used and I thought it was a pretty basic phone. It didn’t have all the unnecessary features that most PDA phones have. It never locked up or did I have to turn it off and back on again, like other PDA phones. This is perfect for the regular on the go business professional. Customer Review: Great PDA… not for the “consumer” oriented market. I got my BlackBerry 8700g just little over a week ago, and all I can say is that it is a great PDA! I’ve owned a few smartphones before, all of them consumer-oriented (had mp3 capability, camera, video capture, etc. etc. etc.) and although they performed very well, it wasn’t until I used the BlackBerry that I found a great, solid device for business use. I had the SE P800, SE P990, Treo 650, Treo 680 and found most of them had so many features, that implied lots of shortcommings when it came to performance (constantly froze-up or rebooted. i.e.).

RIM BlackBerry 6230 Phone (T-Mobile) Compatible with T-Mobile cell phone service, RIM’s Java-based BlackBerry 6230 is a business-oriented phone, organizer, and communication device that works like a normal phone but also happens to give you e-mail access, SMS text messaging, and Web browsing along with everything you’d expect from an organizer–all in a single wireless handheld that supports international GSM/GPRS roaming. The 6230 uses a 160 x 100 pixel monochrome screen and comes with an easily attaching headset for convenient, hands-free conversation so you can read, type, or retrieve information while you talk. The 6230 offers tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS networking and operates on 1900 MHz in the US and Canada (900/1800 MHz in Europe/Asia Pacific). GSM/GPRS networks grant “always-on” operation and let you maintain a virtual connection to the wireless network for data services. GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is a packet-switched network designed for wide-area data communication, while GSM offers high-quality mobile voice services. BlackBerrys Java-based 6210 model offers a smaller and lighter body than previous incarnations of this wireless handheld as well as upgrades to memory for greater data storage. E-mail and SMS improvements, such as wireless email synchronization and integrated attachment viewing, combined with the wireless services that BlackBerry users are already accustomed to–a phone, a Web browser, and organizer applications–round out the 6210s offerings. The phone operates on 900/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS wireless networks, allowing for international roaming among North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The BlackBerry 6210 is powered by a 32-bit microprocessor and uses an embedded RIM wireless modem. It offers 16 MB of flash memory plus 2 MB of SRAM for storage. The thumb-operated trackwheel and backlit QWERTY keyboard make messaging quick and easy.
