It allows me to put numbers in and save as well as the caller I.D could not be even better.The ringer is loud it allows you to adjust it, but it is pretty clear.I never had any interference on any of the calls. I purchased this phone and two expansion handsets. In the last three weeks, I have not had the problems with interference which other reviewers complain of, but every situation is unique. I was having some problems with other cordless phones because of kitchen appliances and lights that caused interference on the older bands. I find the handsets in both colors very ergonomic and attractive, and the extra features like polyphonic ring tones and remote access to the answering machine from expansion handsets are great.

Customer Review: Not The Best Panasonic Phone I’ve Purchased
The phone has many useful features and works well, except for one thing: It does not always clear the voicemail indicator. It seems to work only intermittently. Other than that nuisance, it’s a good phone.

Customer Review: Short battery life!
I bought this phone sometime in October or November of 2007 because it was cool looking & I needed a new phone. I have had issues with the battery since January. The charge doesnt last more then 4.5 hours. Dont buy this phone unless you want to deal with replacing it or the batteries within 2 months!

A nice, convenient, compact phone. Caller ID. Shows missed calls and their number. Phone works great. Very long battery life between charges. Delivered on time, and unit works as promised.

Customer Review: Great buy for its price!
It works great in close range, so it’s perfect for driving, but I wouldn’t recommend it for use while you are moving around at work or doing chores at home. The battery lasts a long time, on stand by and while in use. Not difficult to use, and sturdy.

I’ve enjoyed use of several IA5879’s for about a year — in the family room and bedrooms. All of them have worked well and there is no interference. You don’t want to make the mistake of placing a handset on the wrong base — I found this out and paired each set so we couldn’t get it wrong.
