Customer Review: Poor instructions
The instruction booklet shows that it is handsfree, that’s even on the box. But no instructions on how to use handsfree. Too much trouble to hunt and peck to find out how it works. Not everyone is a geek.

Customer Review: Unreliable in the long run
I loved this phone when I first got it but about a year later the problems started to crop up. We have the main base station and an extra handset and charger. The LCD on one of the handsets no longer lights up and as a result the characters are so dark that it’s hard to see the caller id or to choose an entry from the phone book’s memory. Now the second handset has a broken 0 zero; we can no longer anyone in our local area codes (703, 301 and 202). This past week we had an electrical storm and an extended power outage. Ever since the power was returned both handsets has a lot of white noise when you are making calls but when I use my OLD corded phone on the same phone jack and rj-11 cable, the corded phone is very clear. Now I want to throw both of them directly in the TRASH!

Have had this phone for a year or more. Really like all the features in fact don’t use all of them. But for the price and I need a good clear phone with awesome reception this is a great phone. I do child care so need a reliable phone with good clear reception. I can go outside and move all around my 1/2 acre yard and have no interruptions.

I had this phone for years and it was struck by lightening - couldn’t find another equivalent - looked everywhere, including trying to contact GE. First time I checked Amazon, you didn’t have it. A month or so later you did. It was sent promptly and I am very pleased.
Customer Review: Finally found all I wanted in a phone when I bought this….
I was realy looking for some specific features in a phone and was frustrated until I found this beauty. Either they had some but not all the features I wanted or added features I didn’t want or need. I wanted a corded phone because I found that reception with a cordless was so bad in my basement apartment and hated the cordless batteries that always seemed to need to be charged too much. Then again I wanted a cordless for the convienence but I also wanted a speaker phone for those long “on hold” calls. I especially wanted a phone that had a back-lit caller ID display and I did not want an answering machine as I had voicemail through my local phone company. All this seemed like a tall order and of course I didn’t want to spend $100’s of dollars. This phone met all these requirements and more at a great price and the cordless part is static free with a long battery life. This is my only review I’ve ever written but I felt I just needed to. This phone is awesome!!

Customer Review: Mine has worked fine
I’m writing because my experience is completely different from the other two reviews. We have had this phone for a few years now with no problems at all. I really like it. I wanted a dual phone so the corded one would work in the event of a power outage. Cordless phone works even outside in front of my house. I’m viewing this item because I’m ordering another one. My husband dropped the cordless phone into the bathtub and now it doesn’t work. Hope my replacement item works like my old one did, and not the ones the reviewers here have had. I’ll write an update review if it doesn’t.

I bought 1 set and it worked well for weeks. So, unfortunately, I bought another set for my mom. About a year later, my cordless failed (no dial tone, but all other functions work). A few weeks later, my mom’s set failed the same way! Really disappointing from a giant brand name…

Excellent quality, excellent features, nice looking. Intercom is easy to use, speaker phone is great quality. One problem is the clock displayed on the LCD looses a couple of minutes a week.

Everything good, except it is difficult to use. Typing in numbers and names is difficult and the functions are not intuitive at all for Americans.

I hated this phone. The speaker phone has good audio but the ear speaker is terrible. Many times the voice is so garbled I can’t heear the other user. I am returning the phone today.

The phone is great with good, clear reception. The only problem is that the base is a little “techie” to operate and it doesn’t hold the day of the week. I’ve reset it several times but it still loses the day setting but holds the time of day. However, I like it and would probably buy another.
