Other features include a handset-to-handset transfer option, 20 distinctive ring options (10 melodies and 10 ring tones), independent earpiece and ringer volume controls, a paging key that helps you find lost handsets, and a room/baby monitoring function.

Customer Review: Best Phones I’ve Ever Bought!
This phone set is great and I would heartily recommend it to anyone. It would take me too long to list everything I love but I’ll try. It has a “do not disturb” button in case you have company or take a nap–none of the phones ring and the answering machine takes the message silently. The cordless handsets do not need a jack wherever you put them, just a place to plug it in. You can put people on hold with the speaker phone while they answer a handset. You can retrieve messages from either of the handsets which is great if you have a 2 story house or the answering machine is far away. I highly recommend this.

I work form home and loved the idea of owning this phone. It had all the features I wanted. Two weeks after owning it, the handset failed. While using any of the two lines, if another call came in on either line there would be enough static to disturb my conversation. I called AT&T customer service and they suggested that I return the equipment.

I got the phone and a wireless expansion phone (a wireless expansion phone comes with the corded unit, so I have 2 wireless phones)about a month ago. I really enjoy it because all the phones have speakerphone capability. The headset & mike I use doesn’t make my voice sound muffled like some other phones I’ve had. It is a 2 line unit and both lines work great. Some of the functions like redial and to delete CID numbers take several keystrokes to accomplish which is somewhat annoying. The wireless expansion phones are very clear and have no static. I have voice mail from my phone carrier so I don’t use the answering machine. All in all, I feel I got a great phone and a great price.

How Does CellLink Work?
Uniden CellLink technology lets you easily take advantage of your cell phone’s minutes. To use your mobile line, press the Mobile soft key. The two lines will be completely independent on your ELBT595. Customer Review: Bluetooth Land line/Mobile line and a Cell Phone???
This may be a naive statement and or thought but: You’ve got your land line/Mobile line that can link with your cell phone. If Bluetooth and CellLink can access your cell account (keeping in mind that it’s bouncing around out there in the wild blue yonder and bouncing off cell towers and your cell phone) why can’t these phones (Uniden CellLink ELBT595) use the bluetooth/link-up technology and latch on to your cell account via the tower? When you link up to your cell phone with this ELBT595 it’s still has to bounce a tower for account info and so on, does it not?
Maybe all info is in your cell phone but it does access a tower and transfers data.

Customer Review: Unreliable in the long run
I loved this phone when I first got it but about a year later the problems started to crop up. We have the main base station and an extra handset and charger. The LCD on one of the handsets no longer lights up and as a result the characters are so dark that it’s hard to see the caller id or to choose an entry from the phone book’s memory. Now the second handset has a broken 0 zero; we can no longer anyone in our local area codes (703, 301 and 202). This past week we had an electrical storm and an extended power outage. Ever since the power was returned both handsets has a lot of white noise when you are making calls but when I use my OLD corded phone on the same phone jack and rj-11 cable, the corded phone is very clear. Now I want to throw both of them directly in the TRASH!

Have had this phone for a year or more. Really like all the features in fact don’t use all of them. But for the price and I need a good clear phone with awesome reception this is a great phone. I do child care so need a reliable phone with good clear reception. I can go outside and move all around my 1/2 acre yard and have no interruptions.

In order to see who’s calling you have to scroll to the right. The screen only shows Wireless Caller, not the number. However you cannot scroll to the right unless you are in the Call Log menu.
There are way too many menus here. Like one of the other reviewers said, to delete calls from the call log and/or see who called, you have to go thru three menus. It’s ridiculous.
The phone is comfortable but it is not crystal clear. I actually had a hard time hearing the other person. I’m returning this phone as it is just too frustrating. I pay for caller id and I expect the phone to show me who is calling.

I’m not just going to throw these phones away, I’m going to give myself the satisfaction of smashing them to pieces before I do. This thing drops calls left and right, even if I’m standing next to the base. At any given time I can pick one of these units and it’s not getting a signal. Don’t buy this under any circumstances.

I purchased this phone to replace an older Panasonic phone system that was wearing out and I am very sorry to say it is not worth buying, in fact I am going to cut my losses, throw it away and try another product. The range is terrible, I have several of the handsets around my home and one is in direct open line of vision from the base and won’t receive a signal. The only way any of the handsets will work is to pick up when the phone rings and get as close to the base as you can to get a signal. Forget about trying to go outside with it!

I’m writing because my experience is completely different from the other two reviews. We have had this phone for a few years now with no problems at all. I really like it. I wanted a dual phone so the corded one would work in the event of a power outage. Cordless phone works even outside in front of my house. I’m viewing this item because I’m ordering another one. My husband dropped the cordless phone into the bathtub and now it doesn’t work. Hope my replacement item works like my old one did, and not the ones the reviewers here have had. I’ll write an update review if it doesn’t.

I ordered this phone only because Walmart was out of stock. The price at Walmart actually would have worked out a few dollars cheaper but I needed a phone. I didn’t realize it was not coming from Amazon but a seller called Antonline who turned out to be very DISHONEST and DISREPUTABLE. The phone is defective. They sold it that way. The answering machine part seems to work but not the handset so I notified the company and they want me to pay all return shipping costs which is unfair considering they are at fault. I can understand a consumer paying if they just didn’t like it but NOT when the seller, ANTonline, sells a piece of junk. So if you do decide on this phone, do NOT buy it from them. Go to Walmart.

Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is mainly because I like my Uniden cordless phone better. Other than that, it has great sound quality, and range. The Caller Id screen is large and the number keys light up. Great in the dark. Would definitely purchase again.

Very good headset. Have not had any interference issues and headsets are loud and clear. Headsets have lost connection with the base station a couple of times so they are not perfect but much better than my old Vtech garbage.

I purchased this phone for my parents who are in their 80’s. It was VERY easy to install and set-up, and not too difficult for those who are technically challenged to use. The sound is excellent. The answering machine worked well, and there were just enough choices in sound and ring tones to suit them. It takes up very little space and the phones are in sync which saves a lot of time. You don’t have to run back to the answering machine phone to see who called or retrieve messages.
