This has to be one of the Hottest cordless phone devices on the market to date! When I first started my search online for a cordless phone for my new apartment, the website for Vtech came up showing this phone system, I could not believe the look & style of these phones. (When you go to a relative or friends house, how many of them have a cordless phone that looks like this? Seriously!) I came here and read some reviews as I do with all of the products I want to purchase from Amazon, and I wasn’t the least bit phased by the negative reviews some folks had wrote about this phone. It sounds like folks are looking for a cellular phone rather than a cordless phone system for their home. Most of it sounded like complaining, over minor problems that can easily be solved. Everything about this phone works perfectly, the sound is absolutely crystal clear (I can walk anywhere in my apartment and get clear quality sound without any type of disturbances at all), I charged the battery as suggested in the manual and the battery has not let me down at all & it has been well over 6 months since I set up the product in my home & its still working like new, the answering service is on point, (I have caller ID)- the display reads the names clearly, to store the names and numbers in the phone book is really simple and not complicated (its like storing contacts in a cell phone)I didn’t even need the manual for setting up the phones, most of it is common sense to me. No body I know owns a cordless phone like this. The phone may not work for everybody obviously, but it works great for me! I say buy it, & try it for yourself. Great phone!
Customer Review: battery does not quit charging
The battery does not stop charging. Instead, the battery keeps on heating up while charging continiously.

I’m not just going to throw these phones away, I’m going to give myself the satisfaction of smashing them to pieces before I do. This thing drops calls left and right, even if I’m standing next to the base. At any given time I can pick one of these units and it’s not getting a signal. Don’t buy this under any circumstances.
Customer Review: DO NOT BUY
I purchased this phone to replace an older Panasonic phone system that was wearing out and I am very sorry to say it is not worth buying, in fact I am going to cut my losses, throw it away and try another product. The range is terrible, I have several of the handsets around my home and one is in direct open line of vision from the base and won’t receive a signal. The only way any of the handsets will work is to pick up when the phone rings and get as close to the base as you can to get a signal. Forget about trying to go outside with it!

Customer Review: A Very Nice Phone, But No Lighted Keypad
I am very satisfied with this product, although I was disappointed to discover three things about it:

1. It doesn’t have a lighted dial. The image in the ad created the impression, for me, that the dial was lighted. I should have thought to look more closely. Not lighted dial can be more inconvenient than one would imagine; although, of course, there is always putting on a light or bringing the cordless handset to a more lighted area. (Once someone is accustomed to the phone’s keypad a lighted dial may not be all that crucial.)

Customer Review: Happy Little Phone
Once I was a lonely telephone/answering machine, living on a shelf in a big warehouse. Then one morning someone shipped me to a new place in only three days. I didn’t know what would happen next, but next thing I knew, my new mistress was smiling as she opened up the package. She easily set me up in her office, where she was pleased that I take up so little space on her desk, compared with her old model. With my 4 voice mail channels (for her various work, private, & volunteer job calls), numerous features, & light-weight handset, I am sure to be a big help to her. She is enjoying hearing her calls with my voice enhancement and of course, she’ll never have a missed call again. All in all, I think I can say that she is happy that I’m around.

I like the phone and it has all the functions I need but,the volume on the receiver needs to be louder.

Customer Review: my handset stoped working
My rating is not so good , and depending upon the response we get from the at&t. We installed this product easily and up for a month all was well. One of the handsets stoped working, because the battery was over. I just emailed to at&t to ask how we can get another battery, because I can’t find it in several websites. For the other parts, we liked this set.
Customer Review: Excellent Choice
First and foremost, this line of AT&T DECT 6.0 cordless phones works extremely well, no background noise even with a home wireless system, great range, and very good sound quality both with the handset to your ear and on speaker phone. It does all that one should expect from a cordless phone system. Entering names and numbers into your directory is very intuitive, as is using the caller ID and changing the ringer tone and volume. You hardly need the manual. We use the “phone company” voice mail, so I haven’t evaluated the “usability” of the answering machine, but it “talks you through” the setup steps, setting the clock, etc., and seems very user friendly to operate. Another nice feature is that directory and CID entries are maintained in the base station, so if, for example, you enter a name/number on handset #1, it is immediately available on all other handsets on your system.

Very good headset. Have not had any interference issues and headsets are loud and clear. Headsets have lost connection with the base station a couple of times so they are not perfect but much better than my old Vtech garbage.

I purchased this phone for my parents who are in their 80’s. It was VERY easy to install and set-up, and not too difficult for those who are technically challenged to use. The sound is excellent. The answering machine worked well, and there were just enough choices in sound and ring tones to suit them. It takes up very little space and the phones are in sync which saves a lot of time. You don’t have to run back to the answering machine phone to see who called or retrieve messages.

I am very happy with my phones,however,I need greater volume on the ringer. I tried an amlified ringer to place between the jack and the base w/the answering machine and it blocked the caller ID, answering machine and the ringer. Do you have an amplifier that would work with my phones?

Customer Review: Very good phone, well designed and built
Replaced an old Vtech with this phone, after trying a new Vtech LS-6125-2 two handset system (horrible battery life, being returned). The E450 appears to have at least three times the battery life of the 6125. I have had none of the problems mentioned in the other reviews of the E450.

I had a Panasonic 1ghz phone set (2 phones) for over 10 years and it survived three moves and two kids and still works! I mean my kids broke the antenna stems and covers off, chucked and kicked these phones all over the house and never any static, drop-calls, not even a battery change needed! I am just upgrading to accommodate a bigger house. These phones are so much better and so much nicer now. I expect to have them for a while. The talking caller id gets annoying really quick though, LOL!!!

I read all of the reviews for this phone, and thought “well, maybe the technical difficulties people had were something I could get past”–I’m very technically savvy– but let me tell you… This phone was a HUGE disappointment! It had all of the malfunctions the others have described, as well as others–it rang for no apparent reason, would beep for no reason (not necessarily at regular intervals), the speakerphone is SO quiet it’s unusable. The backlight on the handset is SO dim you can’t read the buttons, and they are very small, so are hard to read even in the light of day.
I was so excited about these phones–but this was a huge disappointment. I am returning them asap.
