Customer Review: Not a very good Uniden phone
I’ve owned Uniden in the past and liked that phone a lot. This one on the other hand is terrible. The battery life is a joke. The reception for the first week was all static if you left the living room where the base was located. I wish I would have returned this phone right away! Big mistake in keeping it. I suppose you get what you pay for and recommend you spend the extra money and get a better model. Oh, and say you’re on the phone and your headset is about to die, you can’t just pick up a different one and use that one. You’ll have to re-call the person you were talking to. It’s doesn’t allow 2 phones to be on at once. And considering the battery life is terrible, this is a feature that is a must.
Customer Review: Perfect little low priced cordless phone/answering machine
Works surprisingly well for the price, set up is a breeze, manual is complete and easy to understand, and phone is easy to operate with all the many, many features; low learning curve, great sound quality and range. No interference even living in a downtown area with lots of businesses and a great deal of traffic very close. Handset works great and voice quality/sound and pickup are clear and sharp even in other rooms away from the base, and even with the room’s door shut and a tv or computer on within a few feet. Answering machine is a nice quality bonus that has a longer length allowed for messages than my old one and works great, too.

I scowered the internet, Best Buy, Staples, Target, Office Max and WalMart for an aesthetically pleasing phone with no success until I found this Philips phone. It does not have an odd shape, multiple colors, a font from the 1920s, rubber textured buttons or a charging station the size of a coffee maker. I would, however, prefer to have the option to increase the handset volume.

I bought this phone sometime in October or November of 2007 because it was cool looking & I needed a new phone. I have had issues with the battery since January. The charge doesnt last more then 4.5 hours. Dont buy this phone unless you want to deal with replacing it or the batteries within 2 months!

A nice, convenient, compact phone. Caller ID. Shows missed calls and their number. Phone works great. Very long battery life between charges. Delivered on time, and unit works as promised.

After reading all the reviews here, I went ahead and bought the Talkabout anyway. That just goes to show that you can’t always rely on someones elses opinion. What do you wnat these 2 ways to do for you? if you take them on a boat, you’re out of luck…water and the like of reception for any non marine 2 way is the same.

Customer Review: Crystal Clear Reception, Great Phone
I was actually looking for a DECT 2 line phone without an answering machine but it’s not available, so I settled for two of these. I like this phone a lot, a logical interface, easy to program and has all the features I need. Reception is excellent and I was able to stay connected from my mail box across the street. Since it runs in a special bandwidth set aside by FCC for cordless phones, there is no interference from any of the electronics I have piled up around it. The handset is lightweight and compact, not much larger than a cell phone. I have had very good luck with Vtech products for many years.
