GE Designer Series Ultra-Slim Cordless Phone - Red Customer Review: Nice product, but some points to consider…
I purchased this phone and two expansion handsets. In the last three weeks, I have not had the problems with interference which other reviewers complain of, but every situation is unique. I was having some problems with other cordless phones because of kitchen appliances and lights that caused interference on the older bands. I find the handsets in both colors very ergonomic and attractive, and the extra features like polyphonic ring tones and remote access to the answering machine from expansion handsets are great.

Customer Review: Not The Best Panasonic Phone I’ve Purchased
The phone has many useful features and works well, except for one thing: It does not always clear the voicemail indicator. It seems to work only intermittently. Other than that nuisance, it’s a good phone.

Customer Review: Great for people who have bad hearing and slightly bad eyesight
I ordered this phone for my parents because the numbers looked big. When I got the phone in the mail I was surprised because the picture does this phone no justice. The numbers are in fact big and the screen whenever a call comes in is easy to read. My father no longer has to get off the couch anymore to read the caller id. It’s real good for screening calls because now its easier to ignore 1-800 numbers because we can see the caller id from feet away. I must admit though just last week the Astrix button fell off, granted we don’t use that button I still wish that the phone was not 6 months old because I would have returned it. Other then that I still love this phone. The sound and the ringing is loud..did I mention it vibrates?
Customer Review: Terrible phone!
I pruchased this phone in January, 1008. It is now March, 2008 and the phone is unusable. First, I really liked the large numbers and the lighted antenna and numbers. Then, the numbers only lighted up partially and the dialing seemed slow. When I used the speakerphone it worked for about half a minute and then the volume went so low I couldn’t hear it (no, I don’t have hearing problems). The speakerphone function was spotty at best. The battery life seemed very short, even if we had not talked on it much and when I put it in the base to charge it wouldn’t make contact without a lot of repositioning. Last night I was talking on the just-charged phone and it began to beep and there was so much static I had to switch to a different phone. When I pressed the button to hang it up, it wouldn’t hang up. It remained on with the loud static and I had to finally unplug both the telephone line and the electrical feed. Even after that the thing kept beeping and making noise. It’s trash!

Customer Review: Does not support video calls
This phone does not support video calls (i.e. the audio portion of a video call). I find it absolutely ridiculous that this phone cannot answer an incoming video call, nor can it initiate an outgoing video call, nor can it join an existing call (audio or video) already in session. If the phone did not initiate the call (i.e. if you didn’t use the phone to dial or answer), you cannot use the phone on that call. Thus, the phone is absolutely worthless if you want to use it to handle the audio portion of you video calls! I know some people use Live Messenger for other purposes, but for me, the reason I use Live Messenger is to do video calls with my family… If I want to do an audio-only call, I just use a regular phone.
Customer Review: Great phone for free calls
This phone with Windows Live Messenger software. Works with phone line and your computer. You must have turn your computer on and your Windows Live Messenger sign in together so do free calls to online contacts, although you can use it just with line phone and use it as regular phone. You can not send text messages.

The instruction booklet shows that it is handsfree, that’s even on the box. But no instructions on how to use handsfree. Too much trouble to hunt and peck to find out how it works. Not everyone is a geek.

Customer Review: Broke in two weeks…
I work form home and loved the idea of owning this phone. It had all the features I wanted. Two weeks after owning it, the handset failed. While using any of the two lines, if another call came in on either line there would be enough static to disturb my conversation. I called AT&T customer service and they suggested that I return the equipment.

I got the phone and a wireless expansion phone (a wireless expansion phone comes with the corded unit, so I have 2 wireless phones)about a month ago. I really enjoy it because all the phones have speakerphone capability. The headset & mike I use doesn’t make my voice sound muffled like some other phones I’ve had. It is a 2 line unit and both lines work great. Some of the functions like redial and to delete CID numbers take several keystrokes to accomplish which is somewhat annoying. The wireless expansion phones are very clear and have no static. I have voice mail from my phone carrier so I don’t use the answering machine. All in all, I feel I got a great phone and a great price.

Really loud tone when you hit the buttons to dial and no way to adjust it. Very annoying. Too lazy to send it back and go phoneless. I’d look for a phone with more features such as volume control.
